Join NYC Parks for Pumpkin Festival, New York City’s annual celebration of the fall harvest season in leafy Central Park!

Taking place on Saturday, October 29, Pumpkin Festival takes the very best traditions of the autumn season and offers them all for FREE! Activities will include:

    • Fright Night at the Movies Haunted House–our spooktacular haunted house is back again this year and scarier than ever!
      • Catch a sneak peek of the Haunted House
on Friday, October 28th from 5-7pm!
    • Pumpkin Patch – kids take home a free pumpkin!
    • Arts & Crafts – including pumpkin decorating!
    • Marionette Performances by Puppets in the Park
    • Walkabout Characters
    • Pumpkin Decorating
    • NY Rangers Road Tour & Slapshot Booth
  • Obstacle Course
  • Live Entertainment

All events are free! Event is rain or shine!

Please note that the lines for the Haunted House and Pumpkin Patch may close early. While supplies last!

We have been on a hiatus since Adventure NYC, our last big Parks events. Well, it’s school time, fall, and Halloween’s coming: a perfect time to return! We want to let you know that a date has been released for Pumpkin Fest, one of the major yearly events that the Parks GreenTeam participates in. More details will be added, but we have updated our Idealist page and created a new event posting for this- check it out! As always, we are looking for volunteers who are energetic, adventurous, love working on a team, competitive, and love to help the environment.
